Support The Cure Starts Now in Finding the Homerun Cure for Childhood Cancer

Graeter’s Ice Cream Annual Cones for the Cure Campaign Runs September 6th to September 16th

CINCINNATI, OH (August 27, 2018) – Graeter’s Ice Cream, a 148-year-old, family owned craft ice cream company, has partnered once again with The Cure Starts Now in support of finding not just a cure for one cancer, but the cure for all cancers. Graeter’s will host its annual Cones For The Cure campaign in efforts to raise money for The Cure Starts Now and pediatric cancer research.

At the center of Graeter’s Cones For The Cure campaign is The Cure Starts Now and its mission to find the Homerun Cure for cancer by focusing on pediatric brain cancer. The campaign ultimately gives consumers a unique way to support this increasingly important cause. Graeter’s Ice Cream will once again offer one of its most iconic seasonal flavors, Elena’s Blueberry Pie – a special flavor that was created by a Cincinnati family in support of The Cure Starts Now – throughout September.

During the Cones for the Cure Campaign, running from September 6th through September 16th, guests in the Graeter’s retail scoop shops will have the opportunity to make a donation directly to The Cure Starts Now. Graeter’s will offer a coupon booklet with up to $25 in savings for every donation of $5 or more. This year, Elena’s Blueberry Pie ice cream will also be available in select Kroger stores in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Dayton, OH.

“Our support of the Cure Starts Now is our most anticipated and favorite fundraising initiative” said Chip Graeter, 4th generation co-owner of Graeter’s. “Over ten years ago we created this special ice cream flavor and have been committed to the cause ever since. We couldn’t be more excited for this year’s campaign and the opportunity to raise even more funds for such an important cause.”

“It’s wonderful that this amazing Cincinnati-based family brand is helping to support a cause that started right here at home, in Cincinnati,” shared Keith Desserich, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board at The Cure Starts Now. “Through Graeter’s support, we’ve been able to raise more than $600,000 in new cancer research funding and we are so thrilled to continue this partnership, and raise even more!”
