Graeter’s Ice Cream Opens New Scoop Shop in Palomar
First new Graeter’s location to open in Lexington, Kentucky in 10 years.
WHAT:
Graeter’s Ice Cream, America’s oldest family-owned and operated craft ice cream maker, is hosting a grand opening event with select community members in celebration of its new scoop shop in the Palomar neighborhood of Lexington. This location features dine-in seating, a drive-through, outdoor patio area, and will offer the brand’s full menu of ice cream, frozen drinks, sundaes, and other irresistible treats.
This is the first new Graeter’s location opening in Lexington in 10 years, bringing Graeter’s Lexington presence to three total scoop shops, including the Chevy Chase and Hamburg locations. This new scoop shop in Palomar is located off Harrodsburg Road.

Graeter’s is celebrating its Grand Opening on Thursday, June 11, from 11:30 AM – 1 PM. The Graeter family is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony for select community members at noon. This is open to the media.

Summer hours of operation for this new Graeter’s Scoop Shop in Palomar are 11 AM to 11 PM Monday through Saturday and 12 PM to 11 PM on Sunday.
