Braxton Brewery and Graeter's Milk Stout Collaboration

Limited Edition Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milk Stout Re-Launches with a New and Improved Recipe for Craft Food and Beverage Lovers

CINCINNATI, OH (January 23, 2018)Braxton Brewing Co., a local brewing company, and Graeter’s Ice Cream, a 147-year-old, family owned craft ice cream company, will re-launch the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milk Stout that began their partnership. This Braxton Brewing Co. flavor brings beer drinkers an adult-friendly beverage reminiscent of Graeter’s signature Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. New changes have been made to the recipe, adding more pure black raspberry puree to the beer. Also, for the first time, the brew will be available in Columbus and Nashville.

The unique milk stout will once again be available starting in early February at Cincinnati, Dayton, Lexington, Louisville, Nashville and Columbus-area Kroger markets for a limited time. It will be introduced at a Tapping Party on February 3rd at Braxton Brewing Co.’s Covington Taproom whereby the community will be invited to celebrate its re-launch.

The Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milk Stout is a creatively crafted beverage inspired by one of Graeter’s oldest traditional flavors. Based on feedback from customers last year, the brewery has infused even more of Graeter’s proprietary pure Black Raspberry purée. Braxton Brewing Co. also changed the character of roasted malt to give it a more crisp flavor profile that is distinctively Graeter’s. Using Graeter’s exclusive black raspberry puree, Braxton Brewing Co. crafted this one-of-a-kind milk stout, a dark brew with notes of roasted barley and a creamy texture. This sweet treat will only be available for purchase for a limited time.

"It’s great to be able to work once again with this beloved local Cincinnati craft brand that puts as high an emphasis on authenticity as we do," said Jake Rouse, Co-Founder and CEO. "We hand-crafted a new recipe to ensure that we released a beer we know craft food and beer lovers will appreciate, and the new Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milk Stout recipe does just that."

“We’re excited to once again partner with Braxton Brewing Co. to release a milk stout that truly speaks to craft food and drink lovers,” shares Robert Graeter, 4th generation co-owner and Chief of Quality Assurance at Graeter’s Ice Cream. “Both Braxton Brewing Co. and Graeter’s are dedicated to the art of our craft brands, and the re-launch of the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milk Stout is a reflection of that.”

This collaboration between Graeter’s Ice Cream and the Braxton Brewing Co. is preceded by 2017’s launch of Graeter’s Stout & Pretzels Ice Cream. Consumers can celebrate the re-launch of Braxton Brewing Co.’s Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milk Stout at a Tapping Party at the Braxton Brewing Co. Taproom on Saturday, February 3.

It ultimately gives consumers a unique way to support this increasingly important cause. The one-of-a-kind Graeter’s Blueberry Pie Brown Ale is a creatively crafted beverage inspired by one of Graeter’s most iconic seasonal flavors, Elena’s Blueberry Pie – a special flavor that was created by a Cincinnati family in support of The Cure Starts Now. “Our support of the Cure Starts Now is entering a new decade” said Chip Graeter, 4th generation coowner of Graeter’s. “Ten years ago we created this special ice cream flavor and have been committed to the cause ever since. And this year, we’re elevating awareness even more with Braxton Brewing Co.’s ice cream-inspired ale. We couldn’t be more excited for this year’s campaign.”

Guests in the Graeter’s retail scoop shops during the campaign period also have the opportunity to make a donation directly to The Cure Startes Now Foundation. Graeter’s will offer a coupon booklet with up to $20 in savings for every donation of $5 or more.

"Based on the success of Black Raspberry Chip Milk Stout, we thought long and hard about what we could do to raise the bar,” shared Jake Rouse Co-Founder and CEO of Braxton Brewing Company. “After hearing The Cure Starts Now’s story about the genesis of the 'Homerun Cure' it became abundantly clear, I couldn't be more thrilled to have such an amazing beer support such a worthwhile cause."

“It’s wonderful that two amazing Cincinnati businesses are helping to support a cause that started right here at home in Cincinnati,” shared Keith Desserich, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board at The Cure Starts Now.. “Through Graeter’s support, we’ve been able to raise nearly $500,000 in new cancer research and we couldn’t be more excited about having Braxton’s involvement in this to take it to new a new level.”
