Ice Cream Stories- Graeter’s Inspired Cupcakes

By Ice Cream Stories October 31, 2012 No comments

As we have said before, we love to hear from our fans. We often hear about favorite flavors or why fans consider Graeter’s the best. What we don’t often hear about is how the love of Graeter’s inspires great ideas. Take Deborah DeLong and her blog for instance.

In a recent blog post she talks about how her love for Graeter’s Black Raspberry Chip inspired an irresistible cupcake concoction, Honey Black Raspberry Cupcakes With Chocolate Buttercream Frosting.

Deborah writes:

My favorite ice cream flavor of all time is Black Raspberry Chip by Graeter’s in Cincinnati. It may be the perfect ice cream!!

All Graeter’s ice cream flavors are divine…  And they have an online store!!

I spend an inordinate amount of time thinking up new honey cupcake recipes, and for a while now, I’ve been trying to think of a cupcake that captures the essence of this heavenly frozen treat. By George, I think I’ve got it!!

Ice Cream Stories- An unabashed Obsession

Sharing our fans comments is just one of the things we love to do. We are thrilled to read each and every one of them, and believe us we read a lot! Here is one that came through our blog. Share your story with us!

Name: Christina

City: Birmingham

State: Alabama

I don't eat lots of sweets, but when I do, it's ice cream. I have eaten Graeter's since my family moved to Cincinnati when I was in preschool; fast forward to high school in Columbus--the Graeter's on High Street was where we hung out after football games. I was thrilled when Graeter's seemed to follow our family to town. Little did I know, I'd live without it for a decade or more.

I went to college in Illinois, then graduate school in California--no Graeter's except on visits home to Ohio. Then nearly a decade ago I moved to the South and thought I'd never get Graeter's. I wondered about franchise options...and still do. Now, as of a year ago, Graeter's is in our local Publix stores. I still hit up family members who fly down to bring me Mocha Chocolate Chip and Raspberry Sorbet, among other fave flavors, but at least when I really need a Graeter's fix I can find some nearby!

Now I have my own family and they all love Graeter's. I'm doing my part to spread the word about it down here.

Ice Cream Stories- Ice Cream Fan Weighs in on Local Favorites

By Ice Cream Stories October 15, 2012 No comments

We love to hear what our fans are saying so when we come across a comment like this, we just have to share!

Tripadvisor contributor Jfc073 recently wrote a review on native Ohio ice creams:

“As an independent third party who is not from the state of Ohio, I can say without hesitation that both Jeni's and Graeter's are good, but Graeter's ice cream simply has more flavor and a more traditional ice cream shop appeal. Graeter's has a taste that surpasses every ice cream and gelato I have tasted.”

Thanks, Jfc073, and thanks to all of our fans who help to spread the word where you live! We’re so glad you love Graeter’s ice cream and gourmet desserts as much as we do.
